Applications for new Plant Shop Volunteers has stopped until May 2025
This is owing to lack of space and the loss of one of our polytunnels due to the storm.
If you are interested in becoming either a Plant Shop and Polytunnel Volunteer or Horticultural Volunteer please contact us. You will be emailed as soon as we are able to offer an opportunity. We currently have capacity to take on new volunteers and we look forward to hearing from you.
We welcome volunteers whatever your level and knowledge of plants. All we ask from you is a willingness to learn, commitment and a sense of humour. Some aspects of this work are physically demanding. Wednesday ,4-5 hours. Plus one Saturday, 4 - 5 hours, per month.
All you need is a packed lunch, a drink and some gardening gloves. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather; extra layers in winter, layers you can shed in summer.
We run a Plant Shop at the Botanical Gardens in Swansea selling trees, shrubs, perennials, vegetables, bulbs and herbs to the public. Each Wednesday throughout the year we meet in the polytunnel just inside the gate of the Botanical Gardens any time from 9:30 am onwards. We open the Shop on a Saturday morning from April to September.

We are now in our temporary home in the undamaged Poly Tunnel. A New Poly Tunnel will be built soon and we then will move back.
It's a lot of work caused by the storm and we hope you will come along and support us. We have lots of plants for sale. Do come along and see us!
