We want to share with you some news about the Friends of the Swansea Botanical Gardens and the work we do to support these much-loved gardens in Singleton Park.
As you know, our group of volunteers raises funds to help maintain and improve the Gardens, enabling free public access to continue.. Over the years, the support of our Friends and volunteers has been vital in keeping the Gardens thriving. Our contribution totals over £400,000 over the past 30 years.
As several of our long-standing Trustees will be retiring in May 2027, now is the time to safeguard the future of the Friends.
We are keen to ensure that our charity continues to play a strong and active role in supporting the Botanic Gardens for many years to come.
Would you consider joining us either as a regular volunteer or as a Trustee filling tasks essential to the smooth running of the charity. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in learning more about the roles of a volunteers or a Trustee, we will be delighted to hear from them.
We can assure you that it is a most rewarding opportunity to meet new people, to extend your skills and to take part in securing the future of our 100 year old Botanic Garden.
